Dancing on Ice 2025 LIVE: Michaela Strachan tops the board as Holly Willoughby pays tribute to The Vivienne

DANCING On Ice returned to the screens tonight with Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern at the helm.

The 17th season of ITV‘s popular show aired with an impressive cast of sportspeople, Olympians, TV personalities and actors.

The upcoming series will see Traitors finalist Mollie Pearce, Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave and Ex-Footballer Anton Ferdinand among others take to the ice each week.

Last year, ITV axed the telephone voting, meaning that fans can only vote online. This will be the case for the 2025 season as well.

In a huge shake-up, Dancing On Ice bosses have also made a major overhaul to the dreaded skate off challenge to “avoid upsetting celebs”.

The presenting duo announced that there will not even be a showdown next week as the star with the lowest score will be eliminated straight away.

At the start of the show, Holly paid tribute to former competitor, The Vivienne, who sadly passed away last weekend.

However, although her words were touching, many fans were disappointed that no image or video footage of the star was shown on-screen until the end of the show.

Meanwhile, Springwatch host Michaela Strachan stormed ahead with an impressive score of 30.5 out of 40.

Whilst Corrie’s Sam Aston also impressed the judges, the other soap stars did not fair so well.

Hollyoaks veteran and former Waterloo Road actress Chelsee Healey is at the bottom of the pack with a score of 22.
