COMEDY star Daisy May Cooper has revealed two characters loved by fans will be returning to screens, five years after they were last seen.

Daisy May Cooper is starring in the second season of her hit comedy Am I Being Unreasonable? but she’s revealed it’s characters from one of her most iconic shows that will be set to return.

Daisy May Cooper revealed there would be a ‘crossover’ between her series This Country and Am I Being Unreasonable?

Daisy alongside co-star Charlie Cooper will reprise their roles from This Country as Kerry and Kurtan Mucklowe, who will make a ‘crossover’ appearance into Am I Being Unreasonable?

Discussing blending the two shows, Daisy appeared on ITV‘s This Morning as she revealed fans would be treated to a cameo from the Cotswolds characters.

Asked by This Morning presenter Cat Deeley if her character Nic was going to get away with murder after the events of Series 1, Daisy explained: “Oh, I can’t tell you that.

“What I can tell you, you’re going to love and This Country fans are going to love this.

“Kerry and Kurtan are coming into Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 2.

“So it’s going to be a comedy crossover. So This Country fans you’ll be happy.”

The second series of Am I Being Unreasonable? airs on BBC One, after filming concluded last year.

The series was the brainchild of Daisy and co-writer and co-star Selin Hizli, with the pair coming up with the storyline during the pandemic.

Daisy previously shared in an interview: “For me I always wanted to write something with Selin because I think she’s the most talented person I’ve ever met, I mean second to me, I am massively talented (laughs) but there’s nobody else who makes me laugh like her.”

Selin added: “I knew you were just at home doing nothing because so was the rest of the world. So I knew you couldn’t come up with a good excuse so I could just force you to be my friend.”

The second series of the show hit an unforeseen issue whilst filming last year, as Daisy went into premature labour.

Speaking to OK! she explained: “I was pregnant when we started filming and then my son was born seven weeks early, so we had to stop filming right in the middle.”

She added: “I have a brilliant son, but it was really stressful.”
