I transformed my loo using Dunelm bargains & a £16 buy – the flooring scared me at first but now I love it

A THRIFTY DIY fan has left people stunned with her epic bathroom glow-up on a budget.

With the costs soaring, millions of cash-strapped Brits are looking for inspiration to make their homes go from drab to fab without forking out a fortune.

If you’re one of them, you’ve come to the right place, as one woman, Abbie Lauren Foster, recently shared her jaw-dropping bathroom makeover.

Abbie, from North Yorkshire, took to the popular DIY On A Budget Official page where she proved there’s no need to spend thousands to achieve gorgeous results.

Before the transformation, Abbie’s bathroom looked pretty plain and lacked any character, featuring a basic white bathtub, as well as what appeared to be light brown tile flooring.

But rather than having experts quote her eye-watering sums, Abbie decided to take matters into her own hands – and the results have already become a major hit on Facebook.

Although Abbie did not rip the white tiles from the walls, she did give one of the walls a lick of paint with Dulux Egyptian Cotton, which is currently on sale for just £15 at Wickes.

The blonde beauty also went wild with the accessories, which included a shell-shaped basked she had purchased from B&M, as well as a gorgeous white vase filled with fake branches.

For a more calming atmosphere, Abbie also added a reed diffuser and a candle, and purchased a soap dispenser in beige.

The young DIY fan also came up with a brilliant alternative to forking out for a new sink and toilet – by simply changing the existing white lid with a wooden one and covering the bottom of the sink with a cupboard from Dunelm.

However, the biggest change in the jaw-dropping makeover was the brand new flooring – which she had snapped up from the online retailer Best4flooring.

Whether you’re after luxury vinyl flooring or laminate flooring, the online space offers just about anything you could need.

Some of the options include eye-catching vinyl flooring with a wide array of prints, with the majority selling for just £15.99 per m2.

”The flooring scared me but now it’s all together I love it.”

Although the bathroom now looks absolutely fabulous, the stunner noted that she’s still keen to get new taps and wants to change the door.

‘Looks gorgeous, well done’

It’s not just Abbie who’s pleased with the results – as her post has already taken the internet by storm, winning the young woman close to 140 likes.

Dozens flooded to comments to praise Abbie, with one DIY fan writing: ”Loving the flooring,”

‘Looks gorgeous!! Well done,” a second chimed in.

”Beautiful colours, just need a plug without the chain on. Wonderful,” someone else added.
