MANY retailers are bringing in ‘dupes’ so that shoppers can get a taste of the much more expensive brands but at affordable prices.
A Charlotte Tilbury makeup artist has decided to test out the Primark dupes – which include their £6 Magic Cream.
Victoria Grace took to her TikTok page to share a video of her giving an honest review of some of the budget retailer’s most popular ‘dupes’ of Charlotte Tilbury.
This included the ‘Magic Cream’, concealer, cheek stains, foundations, eyeliners, and lip liners.
She first started off with Primark’s £6 Magic Cream, which is supposed to be similar to Charlotte Tilbury’s £54 Magic Cream.
Victoria says: “Starting off strong with the Magic Cream dupes. Now, you know [Charlotte Tilbury’s] Magic Cream is amazing for your skin. It hydrates, it primes, and it protects.
“It’s just so nice, I love it.
“However, the Primark side did not prime, did not protect, but it did hydrate. I’ll give it that one.”
She then tested out Primark’s £2 eyeliner pencil.
Victoria says: “I stumbled upon this eyeliner dupe and was quickly humbled when I realised I wasn’t getting the same pigment out of it. But we move.
“It still worked well for the price, or so I thought.
“It started making my eye water and really irritating my eye. So we moved on to putting more products on my eyes. The mascara wasn’t really giving anything for me.
“I like long voluminous lashes, okay? It wasn’t bad for the price. That’s all I’ll say.”

She says: “Now, the foundation made me realise I’m not as pale as I thought I was.
“This is meant to be a dupe of the Airbrush foundation and it was giving Casper the Ghost.”
She then tested out their £3.50 concealer, and said that it “wasn’t bad for the price, to be honest. I rate that.”
Next up were the contour wands and blush wands, which cost £4 from Primark and £30 from Charlotte Tilbury.
Talking about Primark’s products, she says: “Now, this contour stick disappeared. It’s the only word I can say.
“It ran away from my face. I had to pack that on. However, the blush was actually quite nice and very pigmented. So, Primark, what’s with the different formulas?”
She also got a highlighter from Primark which only cost £2.
Victoria says: “The highlighter, I could have eaten. Just for £2. They’re not bad.”
She also tested out the trusty Hot Gossip lip liner, for £1.
Victoria adds: “She never fails me. Is that not just a beautiful shade?”
Her video gained a lot of attention with many people thanking her for the review.
