The Official Chart update has revealed the track, which is already a favourite with our Howell, is poised to knock Chappell’s hit Pink Pony Club down to No3.
Meanwhile, Alex Warren’s Ordinary looks set to hold strong at No2.
Despite Chappell’s dabble into country, she insists she’s not going to be following in Beyonce’s footsteps and record a full album of the genre.
She told Apple Music: “I wanted to write a country song, ’cos I just thought it would be funny. It’s campy and it’s fun.
“I’m from south-west Missouri. I grew up on Christian and country, and then found Alejandro by Lady Gaga and I was like, ‘I think I like this, too’. I really just did this one for fun. I’m not switching genres or anything. It’s not for forever.”

IGGY: I’M MISSING MILLIONS
AUSSIE rapper Iggy Azalea has accused Universal Music of failing to pay her non-US royalties.
The Work hitmaker took to Twitter/X to launch a rant at her former record label.
Iggy fumed: “Crazy how in my entire career I was never paid a royalty by Universal Music for anything outside of the US.
“They owe me millions in back pay, that they technically stole from me. As per my contract I am due payment.
“The amount owed is in the eight-figure range.
“Last week they tried to respond to my lawyer and offer me a settlement of 18k. I’m told this is a normal response from their lawyers and after appearing in court they end up paying millions as they’re supposed to.”
The four-time Grammy nominee added: “I’d like to publicly say that I think Universal Music are criminals who actively take advantage of ALL of their artists in perpetuity for their own gain.”
Universal has yet to comment on the claims.
Sounds like this is going to get messy.
CHART QUEENS TOP OF BILL FOR BARCELONA
THEY are three of the biggest pop stars of the past year – and this summer you can see see Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Charli XCX on the same weekend.
The trio will headline Primavera Sound Barcelona from June 4-8, establishing it as one of Europe’s most in-demand events.
And it makes it the only festival to be headlined exclusively by artists who have had UK No1 singles in the past 12 months.
Bizarre’s Howell will be there to bring you all the goss, with Central Cee, FKA Twigs, Jamie XX, Idles, Haim, LCD Soundsystem and Fontaines D.C. also on the line-up.
And in a special treat for fans, Troye Sivan will join Charli for her set, following the sold-out Sweat tour last year across the US.
I’ve heard amazing things about Primavera Sound and reckon it could be a solid rival to Glasto – with less chance of it being a muddy washout.
There are a few mediocre line-ups for some of the big European festivals this summer, but this one has nailed it.
Sadly, the 2025 bash is sold out, but Primavera could be next year’s top hol.
GRACIE ABRAMS has been named Songwriter of the Year at the 2025 Billboard Women In Music event.
The That’s So True singer will perform at the special event later this month.
She will take to the stage at the YouTube Theatre in Inglewood, California, on March 29.
