Celebrity Big Brother star TURNED DOWN Celebs Go Dating just days before entering the house

CELEBRITY Big Brother star Donna Preston almost signed up to Celebs Go Dating before heading into the house, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

The Apocalypse Wow host, 38, had been in talks with bosses of the E4 dating show before agreeing to do CBB.

Donna picked CBB as she felt it was “a better career move” but she still hopes to try her luck in the dating agency in a future series.

An insider told The Sun: “Donna was toying with dipping her toe in the dating pool on TV and had been in talks with bosses on the E4 show, but then she was also offered CBB.

“It was a tough decision as she felt both shows would have been fun, but in the end, CBB is a bigger show on a bigger channel, so she felt it was the better career move to go with that.

“She would be open to visiting the dating agency in the future though.”

The Sun has approached an E4 rep for comment.

Donna is best known as the face of Tracey from Hey Tracey!, Joel Dommett‘s eccentric game show.

The actress also discusses relationships and dating on her podcast, Dating The Dildo With Donna Preston.

Last week, Donna entered the Celebrity Big Brother house alongside stars including Mickey Rourke, Patsy Palmer, Jack P. Shepherd and Trisha Goddard.

Within days, she had found herself in the headlines – but through no fault of her own.

CBB fans watched in shock as Hollywood actor Mickey appeared to ‘fat-shame’ Donna as she relaxed on her bed while wearing an LED mask.

When Mickey asked her if she was seeing any results, she told him she had only been using the mask for a few months.

“You’d probably be better off running round the block for ten minutes,” he responded.

“I’ve got to try something, ” Donna added. “I’m getting a little turkey neck.”

Mickey told her: “It comes with the territory.”

Confused, Donna asked: “What, life?”

“Yeah,” Mikey replied, adding: “It’s like they say, you are what you eat.”

Clearly thrown, Donna nodded before Patsy stuck up for her, saying: “You eat really healthy though, don’t you?”

“I do now, yeah, very healthy” Donna replied.

Later, when she left the bedroom, Donna expressed her disbelief to Danny Beard and Ella Rae Wise.

Although she laughed, she was clearly stunned as she recounted the conversation she had with Mickey.

After repeating his ‘You are what you eat’ comment, Danny mused: “You what, did he think you were gonna lose half a f***ing stone just by putting an LED mask on?”

Mickey has since been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house following a threatening rant at Chris Hughes.

Meanwhile, tonight the housemates will face their second round of nominations.

Last week, Donna sparked feud rumours as she became one of eight housemates who nominated Coronation Street star Jack.

She told Big Brother: “I think he just goes a bit overboard on the aftershave.

“Jack uses three different sprays a day. It’s like a cocktail and I think when we do pass each other, I have to hold my breath.”

Jack, Mickey and Michael Fabricant all faced eviction as a result of the first nominations. Michael was given the boot.
