B&M has dropped the price of a huge Cadbury Easter egg to £5 and it’s the cheapest out of the major retailers.
The Dairy Milk Chunky Ultimate egg has been discounted by 50% from £10, meaning the cost per 100g is £1.25.

The pack comes with an extra thick chocolate egg and bag of individually wrapped Cadbury Dairy Milk chunks.
Shoppers keen to buy the egg for a loved one this Easter will have to head to their nearest B&M store as you can’t order it online.
You can find the B&M branch closest to you by visiting www.bmstores.co.uk/stores and entering your postcode.
The retailer says stock is low though so you’ll have to be quick and bear in mind your local branch might not be selling it at all.
We looked at how much other major retailers are selling the same Cadbury egg for and B&M’s works out significantly cheaper.
Asda, Morrisons, Ocado, Tesco and Waitrose are all selling the XL egg, but the cheapest price is at Asda where it is £12.98 – almost £8 more expensive.
Morrisons is selling the egg for £14 while Ocado, Tesco and Waitrose are all stocking it for £15.
Bear in mind you may find another chain or retailer selling the same egg for less than B&M though.
It’s also worth bearing in mind, supermarkets and retailers often launch discounts and offers on chocolate eggs in the run up to Easter.
The chocolate egg market is a lucrative one for the sector.

It’s free to download off the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
It lets you use the camera on your smartphone to scan barcodes in store to find out the true price of a product.
Sometimes it tells you a price which is lower than advertised on the barcode.
Shoppers using the scanner app have previously found products for as cheap as 10p.
It’s worth signing up to Facebook pages dedicated to hunting for bargains from B&M and other discounters too.
