BRITAIN’S Got Talent is set to face more Ofcom complaints after one of its latest acts has been declared by fans “too dangerous for TV”.
On Saturday night’s show, viewers and the BGT judges recoiled in horror as sledgehammer-wielding Kranthi Drillman performed a radical act that left viewers reeling.
In the audition, performed live on stage, he blindfolded himself and smashed watermelons and coconuts around a horrified Simon Cowell, who was sprawled on the floor.
Drillman also bit through cans of fizzy drinks, with producers stepping in to halt it during certain moments, while judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli all squirmed in horror and even jumped out of their seats, not wanting to watch.
He was eventually buzzed out by all of them.
While some considered the act fake, even claiming to have figured out how he managed to allow Simon to leave unscathed, others think it was too dangerous to show on TV.
They believe the act is easily replicated at home and could encourage children to try the same.
Taking to X/Twitter, one wrote: “What on earth were the producers and judges thinking of putting this dangerous, silly and painful act on TV? I mean kids might try this even though it would be stupid just my opinion anyway #BGT”
“That was SO DANGEROUS. What the hell??? #BGT,” wrote another.
“There’s a fine line between what’s entertaining, and what’s just stupid and dangerous. Unfortunately, #BGT doesn’t know where to draw this line,” said a third, tagging Ofcom as well as all of the judges and the show itself.
The new barrage of complaints comes after another act, Auzzy Blood, became one of the most complained about moments in the show’s history.
Over 800 viewers took to the broadcasting watchdog to complain that the gothic stunt act – who put a giant screw through his nose and hoisted himself into the air via a meat hook in his chin – aired before the 9pm watershed.

On stage, Auzzy – real name Austin Punton – declared himself “a sideshow freak who likes to endanger his life for other people’s entertainment and to show people they can truly accomplish anything you put your mind to.”
