CHOCOLATE lovers are rushing to get their hands on a Cadbury Easter Egg after a major retailer dropped prices to under £1.
Bargain retailer Heron Foods is selling the Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel Nibbles Egg (96g) for just 99p – and it’s the cheapest price we’ve seen this week.

Cadbury Caramel Nibbles are bite-sized chunks of Dairy Milk chocolate filled with soft, gooey caramel.
One eagle-eyed shopper spotted the bargain in-store in Coventry and took to website hotukdeals.com to post the find.
The egg usually costs far more at rival supermarkets and retailers.
To put the bargain into perspective, the same treat currently costs:
- £1.48 at Asda
- £1.50 at Poundland
- £1.65 at Tesco
- £1.75 at Sainsbury’s
Whatever you’re buying in Heron Foods, make sure you’re using the saver stamp scheme.
Each time you shop, you can collect a £1 saver stamp.
Sign up to the Heron Foods newsletter and follow the supermarket on Facebook, too, as it sometimes shares money-off vouchers.
You can use a comparison tool like trolley.co.uk to see which shop is offering the item cheapest right now.
Elsewhere, shoppers have been racing to B&M after spotting Cadbury’s Daim Eggs back on shelves for just £1.50.

Recently, Morrisons slashed the price of a number of its big packs of Cadbury chocolates to just 87p.
The chocolates include Bitsa Wispa, Crunchie Rocks, Oreo Bites, and Cadbury Animals, all going for a fraction of their usual price.

Remember to compare prices
It is important to remember to always shop around when buying something like this as you might find a cheaper alternative.
Websites like Trolley and Price Spy let you compare thousands of products across different retailers to find the best price.
Price Spy even lets you see how much an item has cost over time, so you can see if the current price is a good deal.
A quick scan on the Google Shopping/Product tab will also bring up how much retailers are selling a certain item for too.
