A POPULAR beer brand has launched a loyalty scheme with free event tickets and exclusive merchandise up for grabs.

Fans of Italian-founded lager brand Peroni will have the chance to earn points as they sip with the new scheme.

Points can be collected whether you’re enjoying a drink in a pub, bar or at home and cashed in for rewards including merchandise and tickets to events.

Lager fans can claim points by following QR codes on products and uploading pictures of their beers and receipts.

Members of Club Peroni will receive one point for every £1 spent on eligible products purchased from participating retailers, or five points when purchasing a pint, half pint or bottle of Peroni from participating pubs, bars and restaurants.

The points can then be cashed in at the Club Peroni online store.

Rewards currently up for grabs include the chance to win tickets to HydeAway gigs.

Points can also be cashed in for exclusive merchandise with a Peroni notebook available in exchange for 50, a beach bag for 100 and a branded bucket hat for 200.

Those with 150 points can also exchange them for four bottles of non-alcoholic beer.

The Italian lager has also teamed up with Ferrari to offer fans the chance to cash in their points for exclusive branded goods.

A Ferrari water bottle will set you back 200 points, while a red Ferrari cap can be claimed in return for 200 points.

Peroni is not the only beer to reward customers for their loyalty.

BrewDog has a Planet BrewDog reward scheme, while Titanic Brewery allows customers to collect points every time they visit one of their pubs.

As well as offering rewards through its own scheme BrewDog allows customers to cash in their Tesco Clubcard points at the bar.

Many restaurants also offer loyalty schemes to allow fans to save money on their favourite dishes and drinks.

There was further good news for beer-lovers earlier this week when the opening of a huge new Wetherspoon pub was brought forward.

However, fans of the pub chain have been warned they could be paying up to 130% more than others based on where they drink.

The Sun compared prices of three top drinks – a pint of Carling, a pitcher of Blue Lagoon cocktail and a pint of Strongbow – at 179 Wetherspoons pubs across England to reveal where you can grab a beverage for less.

And, as the sun makes an appearance beer lovers have been going wild for this gadget that can ensure your drink is kept cool this summer.
