KRIS Marshall has revealed he’s open to returning to My Family but has one condition to bosses.

The hit sitcom was the BBC’s most-watched show at one point during its run, drawing in an incredible 10 million viewers.

The hit series ended in 2011 after 11 series on air

It originally aired for 11 series between 2000 and 2011 and was voted 24th in the BBC’s Britain’s Best Sitcom in 2004.

Robert Lindsay starred as dad Ben Harper and Zoë Wanamaker as mum Susan, with Kris Marshall playing their eldest son Nick.

Daniela Denby-Ashe and Gabriel Thomson played his youngest siblings Janey and Michael.

While My Family is still on air today with repeats of its classic episodes, actor Kris is open to a reboot.

Speaking to Metro, the now 51-year-old said: “My Family was great.

“If I were to reboot it, it would have to be in a situation where it really worked because Nick Harper was very much a character of his time.

“I was 27 when I started, but I was playing 19, so he was a very youthful character.

“I’m not quite as youthful anymore so it would have to be something really special. But never say never.”

The Beyond Paradise star added that thanks to its repeats My Family is now a hit with his own family.

He added: “What I love about My Family is they run repeats now on one of these free view channels and so I’ve watched a couple with my kids, and, one is like, ‘Dad, how young do you look?’ They are cheeky my kids.

“Also, a lot of comedy doesn’t age very well for obvious reasons, or for not-so-obvious reasons, and I think it really stands up. I don’t think I’m biased here because I’m quite critical of my work.”
