A BARGAIN supermarket has slashed the price of a special chocolate inspired by a childhood dessert to just 49 pence.
Share bags of Milky Bar giant buttons, raspberry ripple flavour, are on shelves for the bargain price, cut down from £1.50.

The unbelievable deal was spotted in Heron Foods, Whitby.
A customer noticed that the sharing bags had been reduced by over two thirds.
They shared the details on the website Hot Deals UK so that others could make the most of the cheap choc.
The helpful shopper wrote: “Milkybar Giant Buttons Raspberry Ripple Sharing Bag 86g. In Heron Foods Whitby. Possible a National deal.”
Another customer who had tried the treat from elsewhere wrote: “I bought these from home bargains over the weekend. They are very nice. But too sweet for my taste. Not that offensive. You won’t be disappointed for 49p.”
And a third wanted more info before committing to the buy.
They wrote: “They had tons of these in the Bury store today too but decided not to buy, please let me know if they’re nice.”
The Nestle-made confectionery is a chocolate button with a few twists.
First, it is much larger than a regular chocolate button.
As it comes from Milky Bar, it is based around their characteristic white chocolate.

They are advertised as “smooth, creamy and totally scrumptious”.
Raspberry ripple has been a favourite amongst British ice cream lovers for decades.
It is made by injecting vanilla ice cream with raspberry syrup.
These enormous bags are made “to share” at 86g.
A post from another shopper reported that the plain Milky Bar flavour giant buttons are going for the same cut-price rate of 49p.
There are other opportunities to grab cheap chocolate from shops around the country.

A huge 1kg bag of Celebrations chocolates is on sale for just £1.99 at a big supermarket.
A bargain hunter tipped off other customers on Hot Deals UK, saying they had found the bag for sale in-store at Farmfoods in Kirkintilloch, Glasgow.
The selection contains a mix of miniature chocolates usually found in tubs of Celebrations.
Mars, Snickers, Twix and Bounty are included in the bags.
“1kg choc, Now £1.99 was £6.99 last time I checked!” the savvy shopper wrote.
It’s not clear whether the offer is available in other Farmfoods stores, but it could be worth checking your local store if you have one near you.
Meanwhile, recent research by Celebrations revealed the nation’s favourite chocolate in the selection.
The divisive Bounty shockingly was not in last place – instead it was Mars.
