THE Apprentice star Jonny Heaver has broken his silence on being axed from the BBC show – and his co-star Dr Jan.

Jonny was sent packing from the boardroom by Lord Sugar during tonight’s episode.

For this week’s task, the teams were flown out to Turkey where they were tasked with creating corporate-away days.

After his team lost the challenge in a brutal defeat, Jonny found himself in the firing line alongside Chisola and Frederick.

Lord Sugar told him: “Jonny, I haven’t seen much from you in the six weeks, in fact what I have seen is a tendenancy to make excuses that it’s not your fault or ‘I don’t want to do that because I’m not experienced in this’.”

He added: “I’m afraid to say, it’s because after six weeks I haven’t seen much from you that Jonny, you’re fired.”

Speaking exclusively to The Sun following his exit, Jonny said: “I’m gutted. I would love to have made it to the final five because I feel like I went on the show for my business.

“I really, really do believe in my business idea. It would have been fantastic to get that scrutiny that it does in the final five of those interviews.”

Jonny also addressed Dr Jana Denzel‘s decision to quit the series last week – after The Sun revealed the real reason he left the boardroom.

He had previously been under-fire by show bosses for using the highly offensive term “coloured” to describe a black character as they discussed marketing campaigns.

Defending his co-star, Jonny revealed he is very much in Dr Jana’s corner and they’ve become friends.

He told us: “Not only is he a good mate of mine, but I’m also a patient of his. So it’s hugely beneficial.

“He’s a great guy. And obviously I don’t want to comment on him leaving the process specifically because that was his own decision.

“But I completely back him and he’s such an incredible businessman.”

Jonny added: “And I actually met him at the auditions for the show way back before filming. So we’ve got this like one of a kind rapport I feel. He’s a great guy. And just finally business sense.”
