AMANDALAND has received a major update after the first series of the Motherland spin-off went down a treat with fans.

The BBC comedy launched earlier this month off the back off Motherland ending three years ago.

Its spin-off show Amandaland centres around the character of Amanda played by Lucy Punch.

She’s joined by the iconic Joanna Lumley as Felicity, Philippa Dunne as Anne and Samuel Anderson as Mal.

Following her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and move from leafy Chiswick to South Harlesden, or as she calls it SoHa.

And with an impressive 80% Rotten Tomatoes score so far, it seems Amandaland’s future has been revealed.

Beeb bosses have reportedly green-lit a further six episodes for a second series.

A source told the Daily Star: “Almost five million Brits are hooked on Amandaland.

It’s become a massive hit. Top brass at the BBC want another series because they think it has the potential to become a mega hit.

They think it could soon become even more popular than Motherland.”

However, the BBC is yet to officially announce a second series of Amandaland.

Meanwhile, all three series of Motherland are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
