ALISON Hammond’s new BBC travel show has been slammed by some viewers who tuned in to watch her holidaying in Florida with her son Aidan.
Titled Florida Unpacked, the series is a new ten-part show for BBC Two and is a big step away from Alison’s usual daytime presenting.

The series follows This Morning star Alison and Aidan as they make their way around the very best that Florida has to offer on an affordable budget.
In each episode the pair go off the beaten track in order to find some hidden gem activities during their epic adventure.
In tonight’s much anticipated first episode, viewers saw the mother and son rent a motorhome to explore Florida’s Silver Springs.
The pair then kayaked across the dazzlingly clear waters and soaked up the secret retro charm of 50s and 60s drive-in culture.
As they took a peek behind the curtain at a buzzing Ocala drive-in cinema, the pair seemed delighted with their experience but viewers back home weren’t so happy.
Fans were angered at the pair for using a TV show to get what they saw as a free holiday and asked who is paying for all this?
One viewer raged: ” Why the f@#k are us licence payers paying for it ?”
Another said: “Alison Hammond on a free holiday to Florida to see if it’s accessible to poor people. Do p*** off. @BBC #floridaunpacked.”

“I see Alison Hammond is bagged herself and her nepo baby a free holiday in the form of her new tv show,” someone else raged.
Speaking previously about the programme, Alison said: “Travel is in my blood. For years I worked as a tour rep following in the footsteps of my dear mum.
“This meant I was lucky and got to visit Florida from a young age.
“I was so captivated by America’s culture, food, TV shows, and films and some of my happiest memories are tied to those first formative trips to the U.S.
“We managed to budget our way to a place that totally captured our hearts… and now I can’t wait to share Florida’s best kept secrets with you all.”
Alison Hammond’s Florida Unpacked airs weekdays from Mon 27 Jan at 6.30pm on BBC2.
