ALDI is selling a dupe of an iconic Pizza Express menu item for just £1.35 – and fans are eyeing it up for fakeaways.
Despite being almost identical to the pizza giant’s £3.80 version, the Aldi knock-off comes in at less than half the price.

The newly launched Stonebaked Dough Balls, part of Aldi’s Carlos Takeaway line, come in packs of 12 – along with a Garlic Dough Ball Dip.
Fans went wild for the starter after it was posted in the Food Finds UK Official Facebook group, with one declaring: “Aldi have done it again.”
Another enthusiastic commenter typed: “I need these!!”
And a third said to a family member: “We need to keep a look out for these.”
Speaking to a pal, another person echoed: “We will have to try these! When do we galentines.”
Meanwhile, one commenter had regrets about not buying the dough balls earlier, saying to her friend: “Shame we didn’t have these last night.”
The post racked up nearly 400 likes and 140 comments.
Pizza Express‘ dough balls have been one of the chain’s most iconic products for years.
They were originally invented in the brand’s first Wardour Street restaurant in 1969 – with its signature pizza dough.
The dough balls aren’t the only new product to drop in Aldi recently.

The description reads: “The first of its kind for any UK supermarket, the Specially Selected Veuve Monsigny Champagne & Barber’s Vintage Cheddar Bake (£3.49, 150g) boasts a sophisticated blend of luxurious champagne flavours with deliciously indulgent, rich, creamy cheddar.
“For ultimate indulgence, shoppers should bake in the oven and enjoy with warm, crusty bread.”
Meanwhile, the supermarket chain was also updated its cleaning section – with a new range that can help tackle mould and bring tiles back to white again.
The Specialbuys will land in stores this week and cost from as little as £3.49.
Products include sealant for £4.69, a sealant tool for £3.49 and grout reviver for £3.99.
And, Aldi shoppers went wild for a dupe of Cadbury’s Egg’n’Spoon carton.
The iconic Easter treat was axed in 2023 – but can now enjoy Aldi’s Egg Joyables instead.
