I’m in a 21-year age gap relationship, we met when I was 19 & moved in together in weeks – now we have a baby too

A WOMAN has revealed how she met her husband, who is 21 years her senior.

US-based Iyah, who was just 19 years old when she met her husband, seems to be urging others to follow her lead into an age gap relationship.

Despite their happy marriage, trolls say the age difference was ‘weird’ and that he could be her dad

In a recent video she shared on social media, Iyah said getting with Rafah, who was 21 years older than her at 45 was a dream come true.

She said: “Don’t mean to be a bad influence, but we met when I was 19 and he was 41.

“Three weeks later, I moved in, eight months later, he proposed and now we are married with a baby.”

“This is your sign,” she captioned the video where the pair made heart symbols with their hands and kissed for their followers.

The pair first met when Iyah was just 19 and was working in a bar.

In a YouTube video, Rafah said: “I thought she was older because she was out in a bar but she wasn’t.”

Iyah said: “I didn’t know how old he was when we started hanging out, we just started hanging out.

“I was working as a waitress and I keep seeing this guy staring at me.”

She revealed that they exchanged numbers that night and hasn’t left his side since.

Rafah even has a daughter who is just one year younger than his wife but he doesn’t see them as the same age.

“People talking about us being together and them being the same age. It’s not like I had her with me growing up and having friends her age hanging around me.

“I wasn’t looking for a woman that young, it just happened that way.”

Iyah added: “He wasn’t going around looking for younger women. We met, I was legal, we didn’t even know each other’s age. Boom, we fell in love and now I’m engaged.”

The pair now regularly make social media videos based on their relationship and their recent clip share don their TikTok account @rafal_and_iyah quickly went viral.

Despite the pair being happily in love, many were concerned by the age gap.

One person wrote: “I wish you the best, sweetie, but if a 41-year-old man was circling my 19-year-old daughter he would regret it.”

Another commented: “This is your sign’ my sign to what? Call the cops?”

“I’m 43 and my son is 20. He could be your Dad. That’s weird,” penned a third.

Meanwhile, others were happy for the couple, a fourth said: “As someone who remarried – the best thing I did second time around – was marrying someone older.”

“Wishing them the very best in life because it’s very short, nothing wrong here to see,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Wishing you guys a lifetime of happiness.”

I’m 21 & my boyfriend is 51 – trolls say the way we met is a huge red flag but we’re in love & share a baby

A WOMAN who took to Reddit to celebrate her age gap relationship has faced harsh criticism for meeting her much older boyfriend on a kink app.

Then-18-year-old Auggie Byrd met her then-48-year-old boyfriend on an app called Kinkoo, ‘the largest dating app for kinksters interested in the BDSM and fetish lifestyle’.

The pair have recently welcomed their first child

The couple have now been together for close to three years, and recently welcomed their first baby together.

The pair, from the US, were living in different states when they first met on the app, but Auggie soon got into a college near his area and moved out there.

She said they met for the first time the day she moved into her new dorm and have been “inseparable since.”

Auggie, now 21, shared pictures with her boyfriend, now 51, to r/AgeGapRelationship, where age-gap couples come to share their stories.

The four sweet pictures she posted showed the couple holding hands at a music festival, embracing and kissing, snowboarding and beaming at the camera.

Most comments in the thread were supportive, describing them as ‘cute’ and a ‘beautiful couple’.

But some users said they way they had met was a huge ‘red flag’ and raised eyebrows at how young Auggie had been.

One person wrote: “Gonna be real, there’s age gaps and then there’s age gaps, 48 and 18 whilst having met on a kink site rings all sorts of red flags.”

A second person commented: “Sooo, you met on a kink dating app when you were freshly 18 and in college ??? I’m assuming freshly 18 as you’re still 20 but going into your third year….. Yikes. I support age gap couples hence why I’m in this sub (I’ve been in one myself) but this is a whole new level. Hopefully it all works out, especially since you’ve got a kid.”

While a third person said: “I appreciate this post isn’t some kink filled mess but… she was 18… that’s a whole lot to take in”

Auggie wrote back to one of the haters asking them: “Why are you here on this sub Reddit? To complain?”

And most users showed their support for the couple.

One person wrote: “THEY’RE ACTUALLY SO CUTE TOGETHER THO.”

While another said: “Congratulations!

“Ignore the haters. You’re both legal adults and can do whatever you want for whatever reason you want.”

A third cooed: “Beautiful couple, lucky people.”

Another person said: “I may not like the method you met, but there is nothing wrong with it if neither is using or abusing each other.

“Enjoy each other’s company and ignore the negative bs.

“People can say ‘you’re almost a child’ but we don’t bury people who are almost dead. Everyone one is almost something that they are not.”
