Kirsten O’Brien, 52, is best known for her work presenting for the BBC, including the popular CBBC art programme SMart from 1999 to 2009.

She also co-hosted CBeebies pre-school spin-off programme SMarteenies which was an art show in 2002.

A few years later Kirsten played Peter Pan in pantomime and successfully took part in a lumberjack competition for the BBC series Bring It On.

She also starred in shows at the Edinburgh festival and was a guest on BBC Radio 6 Music, Through the Keyhole and Rob Brydon’s Annually Retentive.

Among other things, Kristen also took part in BBC 1 Let’s Dance for Sport Relief and danced to Van Halen’s “Jump”.

And in 2019 she became a presenter and newsreader for Andrew Peach’s Breakfast Show on BBC Radio Berkshire.

A few years later she became the main presenter of the station’s Breakfast Show.

But earlier last year, Kirsten took over as the presenter of the weekday mid-morning show from 10-2pm.

Kirsten who doesn’t look a day older than she did in her CBBC days, shared a secret with a fan while filming Celebrity Mastermind on a social media post.

Taking to Instagram, she said: “The perils of having a ‘yes’ personality, you end up in situations like this’ #celebritymastermind #mastermind @bbcone

Fans immediately flooded the comments section, sharing their excitement at the thought of seeing her on the show.

One eager eyed fan exclaimed: ‘Can’t wait to see this! Is that a panic button in your hand?!’

Sharing a behind the scenes look on what it is really like during the show, Kirsten replied: ‘Photo from when we got a chance to rehearse walking to the chair and back.

“I’m clutching my inhaler and a tissue, all the basics!”

Joining Kirsten on Celebrity Mastermind is football commentator Guy Mowbray, Outnumbered actor Tyger Drew-Honey and former politician Justine Greening.

Host, Clive Myrie will put them under the spotlight to answer questions on Viking York, the life of Daphne du Maurier, the TV sitcom The IT Crowd and Judge John Bradshaw.

However, this is not the first time Kirsty has sat on the famous black chair because in 2010, she appeared on Celebrity Mastermind answering questions on Reeves and Mortimer.

Kirsty scored 13 and 24 overall with 1 pass, coming third in the show and she donated her fee to Teesside Hospice.

We wish her lots of luck tonight!
