Wayne Rooney watched son Klay take on an ex-Premier League rival’s child in Spain – as the legend took a break from talk of a shock managerial return.
Klay, 11, starred for Manchester United‘s kids against Spanish club UE Quart at Girona.

The striker also had a stint in England in the two years prior to that.
Stuani was at Middlesbrough from 2015-17, helping them earn promotion to the top flight.

Wayne and wife Coleen also have two younger sons – Kit, eight, and six-year-old Cass.
Rooney Senior’s axing as Plymouth chief on New Year’s Eve might not be his last taste of Championship bossing this season.
The former Everton frontman and ex-Derby manager, 39, has been linked with Blackburn.
Current Rovers boss Valerien Ismael is under pressure as the side slumped to seven points of the play-off zone after he replaced John Eustace.
