A COUPLE who found love on My Mum, Your Dad have suddenly split up.

Vicky Davies and David McLeod fell for each other on Davina McCall‘s dating show.

But the pair have now split up

They took fans on a rollercoaster ride, getting together before breaking up and then rekindling their romance again after the programme ended.

But the pair have now once again decided to part ways – and this time it looks like it’s for good, pals say.

“They tried to make a real go of it but it wasn’t to be,” a friend of the couple told MailOnline.

“Both Vicky and David have busy lives and commitments such as family and work, coupled with the distance it was hard to see each other.

“They appreciate the impact they made on each other’s lives and will always share a special bond.”

Mother-of-three Vicky appeared on the dating show alongside daughter Angharad as she attempted to find love, while David appeared with his daughter Tiana.

Vicky, 50, works as an assistant principal in South Wales.

Meanwhile, property developer David, 53, is from Bristol, which is 40 miles away.

FANS PREDICTED SPLIT

Although fans adored the pairing when the series aired, many didn’t think they’d go the distance.

“In the words my old man used to say ‘I’ll give them a week’ regarding Vicky and David,” said one person on X at the time.

Another added: “David making it up as he goes along, like being in an interview you try to wing.”

A third remarked: “I’m just not feeling the love from David.. lovely man but a tad emotionally stunted.. sorry guys!”

And someone else chimed in: “I don’t think David is ready for a relationship. He seems emotionally contained, he’s not relaxed, easygoing.”

SHELVED SHOW

The hit show, headed up by Davina, was shelved earlier this year due to a nationwide shortage of hot middle-aged men.

A new series of My Mum, Your Dad was set to start filming this spring, but the show was shelved until at least next year so they can hunt down the hunkiest middle-aged men.

TV insider told The Sun in January: “Strangely there were lots of stunning women in the 45 to 65 bracket who wanted to take part, but a sad dearth of men who fitted the bill.

“This was a problem they encountered in 2024 when they tried to make the second series and just about managed to get enough candidates together.

“But when it came to the third outing they realised it was just going to be too difficult, and decided taking a break might be the best option.”
