A MAJOR energy supplier is giving away four days’ worth of free electricity to thousands of customers from next week.
The offer will be available to customers on four Sundays from April 20.

These will include April 20 and 27 and May 4 and 11.
To be eligible, EDF customers need to sign up anytime from today until April 6, before the challenge begins on April 7.
The scheme is part of EDF’s Sunday Saver challenges, where customers can earn free electricity on Sundays by shifting the electricity they use during the week.
To be eligible, they simply need to move their electricity use away from the weekday peak hours of 4pm to 7pm.
The more electricity customers shift away from these hours, the more free electricity they can earn, with between four and 16 hours on offer.
This will be added as credit to their account.
For example, if you shift 50% of your peak usage, you can earn up to 16 free hours to use the following Sunday.
You could do this by not running your dishwasher or washing machine during these hours, for instance.
You could also batch cook food at the weekend and then reheat it during the week.
To join, visit the Energy Hub in your MyAccount monthly and sign up for the challenge.

Energy bill increases
The average dual fuel energy bill for those on a variable tariff is set to rise from its current level of £1,738 a year to £1,849.
This is a 6.4% increase and will add £111 a year to household bills.
The increase will impact 22 million households in England, Scotland and Wales who are not on a fixed energy tariff.
The increase comes amid what’s being dubbed “awful April” as consumers will see their water, council tax and car tax bills increase.
But if you are struggling with costs then you can take action as you could be missing out on free boilers and energy bill discounts.
