A MUM has hit back at trolls slamming her for raising her eight-month-old son in “squalor”.

Lacey originally took to TikTok to share a video of herself tidying her “horrendous” room, admitting the process took her a whopping three hours.

In fact, things were so bad that Lacey had to hold on for support walking across her room – because she had to walk on top of all the rubbish on her floor.

“It was really time for a reset,” she said.

She began by clearing an area around her bed, so “I could at least stand there and have like a clear space to stand”.

As well as empty crisp packets, there were yoghurt pots and dirty glassware strewn all over the room.

Lacey went on to sort out the bits she wanted to keep, and the rubbish she wanted to get rid of, before moving over to the “huge mess” that was her sofa bed.

“I originally bought this for my boyfriend to sleep on when he comes over but it’s ended up with me just chucking all my clothes out the dryer onto it, out of exhaustion from the day, so that I haven’t been able to put them away,” she said.

She also sorted out a few bags of bits to donate to the charity shop, before showing off the progress of her first tidying session.

And while lots of people praised Lacey in the comments section for making such a good start on the reset, there were those who took aim at the young mum.

“And you’ve got an eight month old baby living in that squalor – no excuse,” one raged.

Lacey then returned to TikTok to share a video response to the troll comment, as she shared a look at the squeaky clean area her son sleeps in.

“This is my son’s bed,” she said.

“This is my son’s bookshelf and all his toys are put nice and cleanly away in these drawers – all put away.

“This is his change mat. This is his drawers, his wardrobe.

“Everything is put away inside there.

“This is our little sofa bed and this area, clothes do need putting away.

“And this is his dirty washing bag and his bin. So as you can see, it is pretty clean in here.”

Turning the camera to show the floor, Lacey continued: “There’s nothing on the floor that shouldn’t be here.

“This is the only thing I need to put away because I’ve just got these out of the dryer.

“So as you can see, my son has a really nice clean space to live and the rest of the house is totally fine as well.

“So to all the people who don’t believe me, here is your proof!”

“Was it just your bedroom or other parts of the home?” one person commented on the clip.

“Well I’m living at my parents, anywhere my son lives/plays in is clean,” Lacey replied.

“My bedroom is awful which is why he doesn’t go in there.”
