Luisa Bradshaw-White, who played Tina Carter in EastEnders, left the soap in 2020 after her character was murdered by serial killer Gray Atkins.

Fans of the show were expecting a departure from Luisa, but the dramatic ending that saw her killed off came as a surprise – a “bittersweet” moment for the actress.

“Tina is a character I have invested a lot in and a character that I really love, so to see that end is quite sad,” Luisa told Digital Spy at the time.

“When you do an acting job, you usually know the ending. This is the only job where you don’t really know. So after all those years in character, then you find out the ending, it’s quite a strange experience.”

The actress acknowledged that it was “weird” to film Tina’s death scene, but enjoyed the “drama” of the gruesome moment her body was shown.

“A character that you love, a character that you’ve invested in and you played for seven years [dying] – it’s odd,” Luisa continued.”

“It felt like the end of an era, so it was sad in some ways, but really exciting in others. It’s an exciting storyline to get as an actor. It was nice to play the drama of it all.”

Since then, the star has become the resident DJ of Freedom in the Forest, which is described as an ecstatic dance and cacao ceremony.

Luisa has made no secret of her love of DJ’ing on social media, and often shares clips having a boogie while spinning discs.

She also has an interest in spiritual healing and previously said she’s been on the “longest road to recovery” after battling “really bad bipolar and an extreme eating disorder”.

However, a recent Instagram post sparked concern for fans after Luisa opened up about her daily life struggles, including living with bipolar.

She wrote: “Finding it hard to post these days as the experiences I am having can’t fit into words. My ability to feel just keeps expanding. And when I say this I mean feeling ALL of it!

“I am nearly always cracked wide open at the beauty of life….. and the pain. Devastatingly beautiful.

“I cry every day. I can’t stop. There are so many similarities to when I was diagnosed bipolar years ago and then sadly heavily medicated. It makes me question the diagnosis and DEFINITELY question the medication but that is another story and another timeline.

“I have so many people around me experiencing the same. I am so grounded and without fear. I am able to hold these intense energies and frequencies. I love myself so fiercely in this intense energy.

“I cry to move the energy. I cry because life is so beautiful. I cry because I get to be this free, This sovereign in this lifetime. I cry because I am not alone, even when there are no human souls around me I have everything in nature holding me. I cry because it gets to be THIS GOOD TO FEEL EVERYTHING.

“It has never felt so good and so safe to feel so much. Whatever you are experiencing in this portal we are in… surrender. And love.”

Fans rushed to the comment section to show their support.

One said: “I totally understand ALL of this and it is also exactly where I am right now! Age 47! Perimenopausal and FEELING like I’ve never felt before it’s actually so crazy how vast these feelings I am getting are!

“Also diagnosed about 10 years ago bipolar and anxiety disorder. I am much better though now I no longer need medication. Thankyou for sharing this very raw reality. 🙌❤️”

Another added: “Love you to bits! Feeling this strong too ❤️”

A third penned: “Sending lots of love from us all. We love you xxx❤️❤️❤️”
