Part of the problem was belongings all over their East London pad, and the mess had left them feeling overwhelmed.

Thankfully Stacey was on hand to help them sort their possessions – and as part of the job one of her team members gave a handy hack for reducing bills.

Cleaning expert Iwan Carrington shared how you can buy cheap window film insulation kits to act like budget double glazing.

He explained: “These windows are just thin plastic so I’m going to turn it into double glazing.

“A really cheap and efficient way of doing this is to use one of these window film kits you can buy online pretty reasonably.”

Iwan demonstrated how you should cut out the film using scissors to ensure it fits your window.

He advised that ideally the film should be slightly larger than the window you are covering.

Next, you should carefully flatten the film against the window, making sure it is aligned.

Iwan said: “This is the bit we need to get straight.

“You can see how that is stretching out now. There we go.”

He then put a warm hair dryer on the film to help it stick.

After stepping back to admire his handiwork, the cleaning pro concluded: “And this is going to be so much cosier now in the winter time when Aaron and Dee are working in here.”

Thankfully the kits won’t break the bank, as you can pick up a cheap window film insulation kit from £4.99 from B&Q.

Also in the show, Stacey helped the family – who included kids Zora and Elias – go through their possessions.

After working hard to buy their first house together, a combination of parenting and working full-time, along with no systems to keep their belongings in check, had left the couple feeling overwhelmed by their home.

Stacey then challenged them to get rid of half their possessions, revealing a functional space beneath the chaos.

The couple were shocked when laying out the contents of their home in a warehouse that they had 49 make-up brushes, 213 CDs and 552 books.
