THEY are the podcast power couple who have seen their wealth increase an eye-watering 175 TIMES over the past ten years and Chris and Rosie Ramsey have shown no signs of slowing down.

Whilst the couple, who share two children, may now be living the high-life as multi-millionaires, life hasn’t always been that way for the pair.

Chris and Rosie have seen their careers go from strength-to-strength with their S****ed Married Annoyed podcast having turned them into money-making stars.

Back in 2013, the pair’s company had just £44,000 cash at the bank.

Fast forward ten years to 2023 when their company, of which they are both listed as the sole directors, had a colossal £7.7million in cash.

Before sitting on millions, Chris was a budding stand-up comedian whilst Rosie held down a variety of rather theatrical roles including a Pontin’s blue coat, an announcer at Newcastle Racecourse as well as a cabaret act.

Their humble beginnings saw Rosie initially take a backseat from seeking fame as she let husband Chris thrive in his own comedy career.

The couple, who began dating in 2012 and married two years later, initially had the idea to do a podcast together after Rosie featured in the background of one of Chris’ social media videos and he soon began to realise that his fans and followers were equally interested in what his wife was up to.

Discussing the origins of the podcast, Chris told RadioTimes: “When I was at Newcastle Arena on tour, I mentioned her name and everyone cheered.

“We realised we had something and thought, ‘What can we do together? A YouTube video? Something on Facebook?’

“Then Rosie said ‘podcast‘ and I said no… something I’m reminded of regularly.”

But whilst the podcast now easily sits at the top of the charts, Rosie admitted it wasn’t commercially viable for a year and they “worked for free” – without any financial reward.

She said: “We didn’t know there was any money in it.

“We did it for free for a year, just off our own backs.

“We thought we’d do six episodes and if nobody listens, we’ll just crack on doing our own thing.”

But the podcast has also allowed the pair to improve their relationship with Chris comparing it to marriage counselling, saying: “The podcast has helped hugely in our relationship.

“The communication that we have with each other on that, it’s like free marriage counselling.”

Now, the podcast has been downloaded more than 100 million times across the globe.

Elsewhere, the pair have both enjoyed stints on Strictly Come Dancing as well as their own money-spinning chat show.

The couple hosted the BBC show The Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show for two series between 2021 and 2023.
