A WOMAN who wanted a renter-friendly way to achieve a panelled look in her house has shown how she managed it using a £36 Temu bargain.

Sharna explained she had to choose something temporary, that could be easily removed when it comes to moving out.

Once that was done, she opened her rubber panelling strips that she’d got on Temu

So she decided to take a gamble and ordered some rubber strips from Temu, in the hope she could use them to get the look of panelling without having to do any permanent changes to the wall.

Sharna took to TikTok to share a video of the room transformation, which began by showing it as it was before – covered in stripy blue and brown wallpaper.

After painstakingly removing the wallpaper, she painted the walls white, before using a light taupe colour on the bottom half.

Once she was happy with the coverage, she began marking out where she wanted the rubber strips to go – ensuring they were level before she proceeded with the application.

Sharna then used a glue gun to stick them to the wall in the shape of a square.

She continued doing so on the rest of the wall, before using caulk and rubbing it down with her finger.

Once that was done, Sharna started using the taupe paint on the strip squares too – giving the illusion that they’d been there all along.

The strips come in a roll, which costs just £4.39 on Temu and is called Universal Skirting Line Wall Sticker.

It also has a review rating of 4.6 out of 5, with one happy shopper writing: “Versatile and 100% recommended.

“I have bought it several times!”

“Very nice and good quality, I will buy more,” another added.

“I can recommend it,” a third wrote, as someone else called it a “nice finishing touch”.

And people in the comments section of Sharna’s video were quick to praise her for the makeover.

“Wow, absolutely love!” one wrote.

“How much did this cost you?” another asked.

To which Sharna replied: “£36 for 9 rolls!”

“Looks fab,” a third commented.

“Might have you to do mine lol!” someone else laughed.

“This looks amazing hun, well done,” another wrote.
