A MUM has been slammed after sharing the extreme measures she takes to keep her young daughter safe whilst doing grocery shopping.
Karolina, known as karolina.my.motherhood on TikTok, came under fire for a video where the mother demonstrated ”mum hacks” to ensure the tot ”stays safe”.

In the clip, which has since taken the internet by storm for all the wrong reasons, Karolina could first be seen cutting a pool noodle open – which she then attached to the front of the shopping trolley.
To keep both her and her daughter’s hands germ-free, the parent also went over the Tesco handle with a disinfectant wipe.
According to Karolina, who is a first-time mum, not only was the trolley now ”hygienic” but the soft pool noodle also protected ”the child from hitting the head”.
Once done, the mother grabbed a carabiner which she used to attach the back of her daughter’s jeans to the child’s seat in the trolley.
This is believed to prevent the little girl from attempting to stand up from the plastic seat.
While the majority of ”hacks” were to do with the child’s safety, Karolina also shared an easy tip for those who know their kid will want to munch on something whilst inside the store.
For this, the mother filled a reusable cup with her daughter’s favourite snack and attached it to the trolley using the cup’s handle.
Last but not least, she advised fellow parents in the short clip: ”Park as close as possible to shopping carts to make it easy to transfer your child.”
But despite justifying her precautions as safe for her when she is doing her grocery shopping with the tot, many other TikTokers disagreed with her extreme techniques.
Some of the 404k viewers took to her comments section to share their thoughts.

”I’m genuinely lucky if I remember a pound for a trolley,” chimed in another.
”At this point you need to stay at home and order online,” joked someone else.
”Aww honey. This isn’t “mum hacks” it’s paranoia,” commented a social media user.
”Do online shopping if you’re this worried about something happening on a supermarket shop.”
A fifth, meanwhile, thought one of the ”hacks” could pose more harm than any good.
”For the love of god do not use the carabiner clip,” they warned.
”So dangerous if you had to get your child out quickly in an emergency situation this is so dangerous.”
