FED-UP Britain’s Got Talent fans are demanding a major shake-up to the format after noticing that a special feature has lost its impact.

Faithful viewers think the use of the Golden Buzzer needs to be stripped right back after arguing that it’s been rendered “pointless“.

KSI hit his special button on Saturday

When it was first introduced, the special buzzer allowed the judges, and hosts Ant and Dec, to send an act straight through to the semi finals.

They were allowed one buzz per series.

In recent years, the rules have been relaxed somewhat and there have been multiple uses of the buzzer, increasing the number of auditionees who are sent straight through to the live shows.

One person questioned on a fan forum: “I’m sorry if this has been asked before – What is the point of the Golden Buzzer?”

Another responded: “Because there seems to be no limit on them now either, they’ve become pointless.”

A third said: “It only becomes a moment if it is exceptional. when they don’t keep it to the one per judge/presenter, it completely loses its impact.”

The latest act to get the buzzer was supermarket worker Stacey Leadbetter, 29, whose incredible voice impressed new judge KSI.

But viewers couldn’t believe their eyes as one deserving act didn’t receive the same treatment.

Binita Chetry, eight, took to the stage to perform an incredible routine to Eye of the Tiger, which sent the judges and audience wild.

But despite the praise, Binita wasn’t given the coveted buzzer, sparking outrage with those watching at home.

One person wrote: “What have we just witnessed with the 8 year old dancer. WOW extraordinary. No golden buzzer was insane. Could win show.”

A second said: “Now THAT was a #GoldenBuzzer act not some boring bloke who sings loud.”

“That girl deserved a golden buzzer, especially compared to that comedian who got one last week,” added a third.

While a fourth said: “When you compare last weeks golden buzzers to her not getting it, you have to wonder if the golden buzzer is all pre planned.”

Last week viewers were not impressed when comedian Will Burns, 25, ended up getting a Golden Buzzer from Ant and Dec.

The BGT superfan showed off impressions including David Attenborough and Gary Barlow.
