And mums are particularly loving Aldi right now for their new food arrival, which is perfect for the children.

It’s also a great time-saver too.

Becca Jane, who is known as becca_janeh0 on TikTok, has shared a video of the Aldi Happy Meals, which serves two.

Just like the McDonald’s Happy Meal box, the Aldi one has a fun game, 12 chicken nuggets, two tomato ketchup dips, and two portions of French fries.

But in addition, the Aldi version also includes two orange ice lollies for a sweet treat when the meal is finished.

Speaking to the camera, Becca says: “I’ve just picked this up from Aldi for the kids.

“It says ‘new’ here – I don’t know how new it is – but it’s like a little Happy Meal.

“It was £4, but you get two, so it’s like two Happy Meals.”

Becca explained that it was Friday night when she filmed the video and thought it was the perfect time to “give them a little treat” because she was having a takeaway later.

She also said: “Inside, it even has these little fry boxes, so it’s like they’re having a proper Happy Meal.”

“It comes with a big bag of chips, all of these chicken nuggets – which is way more than you’d get in a Happy Meal anyway.

“Two orange ice lollies. It even comes with little ketchup pots as well. And two Happy Meal-style boxes – although one is smaller than the other.”

She finishes the video by showing what the meals look like. Becca says: “I’m honestly so impressed with them.”

A McDonald’s Happy Meal currently costs around £3.59, serving one person, depending on which franchise you visit.

Her video gained over 13.6K likes, with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One parent wrote: “They’re fab! I would have to buy three as I have five younger children.”

A second added: “My kids loved them!”

A third said: “I’ve had one before. They are actually pretty decent and good. Reminds me of McDonald’s, and it’s really fun for kids.”

Aldi isn’t the only place offering these, as some other parents preferred the ones at Iceland called Smile In A Box for £3.50.

Customers can choose between a cheeseburger or nuggets, and their sweet treat is a chocolate chip cookie.

Commenting on Becca’s video, one parent said: “My kids have tried these; they prefer the ones I got from Iceland as it comes with a cookie, which you cook, rather than an ice lolly.”

And a second added: “My kids have had these and the Smile In A Box from Iceland, and they prefer the Iceland version.

“They have the burger option too, which may be worth looking at.”
