EMMERDALE’S Joe Tate has made a devastating confession tonight amid his desperate plan to save himself.
The scheming businessman – who is played by actor Ned Porteous in the ITV soap – found himself under suspicion of brother Noah’s kidnapping tonight when the electrician remembered seeing him the night he was spiked.

Charity arranged for Ross to kidnap Joe and question him in a barn.
But when Joe showed flight details ‘proving’ he was in Brussels that night, Ross took it on face value – and then locked him in the barn without his phone.
Unfortunately Joe’s health nosedived and he barely managed to escape the barn and call for help before collapsing.
He was found by his doctor contact who took him back to his room at Home Farm.
After successfully putting off Dawn by claiming to have a stomach bug, Joe went back into his room where the doctor was waiting.
Pulling some medical gloves, the man cornered Joe.
“Do you think you’re fit enough to be conducting however many covert operations in addition to ours?” the man said.
“Because I don’t. I think it’s idiotic.”
“Your disapproval is noted,” Joe said as he began to stumble and the man helped to sit him down.
“Let’s sit you down before you fall down,” he said.
“That my friend is not a long-term plan,” the man added pointing to Joe’s suitcase full of medications.

I’m not sure how long I’ve got left.”
But is Joe really dying? And what’s wrong with him?
