EASTENDERS has aired a shock exit for Cindy Beale as she leaves Walford to plot her revenge.

The businesswoman – who is played by actress Michelle Collins in the BBC soap – tried to blackmail Ian Beale into handing over half their money otherwise she would report his mum Kathy for trying to kill her at Christmas.

Cindy decided to leave Walford to plot her revenge on the Beales
Kathy Beale from EastEnders.
Kathy was revealed as Cindy’s attacker – and Cindy wants revenge

But when Ian countered with exposing her shooting him and then pushing him in front of the car and causing Reiss to crash into the Vic, Cindy backed down.

Taking the money under agreement that she leaves – she said a cool goodbye to her family.

Junior chased her to the tube station and asked her: “I don’t understand why you’re letting Ian get away with it.”

“Oh no-one’s getting away with anything,” Cindy told him.

“I’m just happy for them to think they have, for now,” she added.

With that she swanned into the tube station to leave Walford for a spell while she plots her revenge.

And fans had a surprising response to the character’s break from Walford – they’re thrilled.

One wrote: “I might be in the minority but I’m very much looking forward to the chaotic hijinks Ar Cinders will bring with her when she returns.”

A second said: “The break will do her a world of good. Now that she won’t be going around accusing everyone, hopefully she’ll be back to her best upon return.”

Another said: “Thank god Cindy’s off for a while.

“She been dragging the week down so far with her petty, selfish, melodramatic whinging and her plot nearly ruined the 40th anniversary week for me.

“Hopefully she’s offscreen for a significant time.”

A fourth commented: “The writers really need to get creative regarding Cindy. I’m so done with her having affair.

“Here’s hoping they take her in a new direction when she returns – of course she’s chaos on legs and should still remain that.”
