A NEWBORN baby has tragically died after being thrown out of a hotel window by a teenager who is believed to be the mum.

The American woman, 18, allegedly tossed the infant from the second floor of Ibis Style hotel in Paris – just moments after they were born.

A person who is said to have witnessed the horror called the emergency services after hearing loud screams.

Authorities said that the baby was thrown out the window of the budget hotel “with the umbilical cord” still attached.

Investigators believe the woman was suffering from “pregnancy denial” when she “unexpectedly” gave birth at the budget hotel in Paris.

The baby had been wrapped up in a sheet before it was discovered in the city’s 20th arrondissement, near to the historic Place de la Nation.

The body was then rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive the horror injuries.

Emergency services took the baby to the Robert Debre hospital after witnesses reported the incident at 6am.

The woman is said to be a tourist on a trip to Europe with a group of young adults.

She was taken to hospital where she is understood to have gone through an operation following her delivery, Le Parisien reported.

The woman was then arrested by detectives at the clinic and charged with child murder.

Paris prosecutor’s office said: “She was also taken into custody on site. The possibility of a denial of pregnancy is being considered.”

They added that an investigation had been opened into “homicide of a minor under 15”.

A person close to the case told Paris Match: “The investigation is underway and the precise circumstances of this tragedy remain to be established.”

In Germany last year a woman was found guilty of manslaughter after dropping her newborn baby nearly 12ft from her apartment window allegedly because “she was worried a baby would ruin her career”.

Katarina Jovanovic admitted to the crime at the beginning of the trial but could not explain the moment to court before she was found guilty on July 3.
