I was bullied for being small so broke my own legs to add 8 inches of height – people think I’m crazy but I love it

A MAN has revealed how he has added eight inches of height with an invasive and excruciating surgery.

23-year-old Leon was sick of getting bullied for his height so decided to take matters into his own hands.

He decided to get invasive leg lengthening surgery and grew eight inches

Taking to social media, he gave his reason for wanting the surgery despite the painful and lengthy process.

Leon revealed he had always been made fun of for his height, which was 5’6″ tall.

“You can’t reach that,” said one hater while another said: “You’re too short.”

Now, Leon has revealed he has been able to add 20cm to his height with leg lengthening surgery taking him to 6’2″.

He said: “I’ve always dreamed of being taller.

“My journey began in 2023 when I underwent my first leg lengthening surgery on my femur, increasing my height from 171.5cm to 182cm using the LON method with an external fixator.”

The LON method is said to be less invasive than other leg lengthening surgeries but is still painful and takes months to achieve results.

A hole is drilled into the leg bones – which are then broken in two. A metal rod is surgically fitted inside and held in place by a number of screws.

The rod is then slowly lengthened by up to 1mm each day, extending until the patient reaches the desired height and their bones can heal back together.

The patient requires several months of daily rehabilitation to build up mobility and the process has a long list of complications to look out for including nerve injuries, blood clots, and bones not infusing together.

The clip went viral on his TikTok account @le_tremba with over 7 million views and 382k likes.

People were quick to take to the comments sharing their thoughts on his surgery.

One person wrote: “Wow. May this level of insecurity never reach me and mine.”

Another commented: “This is supposed to be one of the most painful things anyone can experience.”

“To all the short kings: you are beautiful,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “These comments are not it….he can do what he wants to make himself happy.”

“Good for you! This surgery is expensive, and changing yourself takes courage,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “He didn’t only do it because of the bullies… he did it so he could feel good about himself too… y’all should stop judging.”
