Humphries had to battle a cut on the middle finger of his throwing hand during the match.
But Cool Hand Luke still remained a match for his opponent for most of the final, as eight legs past without a single break of throw.
Littler, however, produced the highlight of the early exchanges as he pulled off a stunning 170 finish to win the third leg – allowing him to perform the famous ‘Big Fish’ celebration.
The Nuke would admit after the match that neither player had impressed in the early exchanges, with his 170 being an exception.
And he looked like he had blown his chance when he bust on-throw in the ninth leg, under pressure from a crowd that drew the ire of both players, and the referee.
At one point, a fan was even ordered to stop whistling by the official.
But in the tenth leg, Littler managed to break back, which left him with the throw in the decider.
And it was the world champion to claim victory on the second night of the Premier League darts.
Littler reached the final of night two after an incredible quarter-final and semi-final.
He first pulled off an epic comeback against Rob Cross, in which he won from 5-1 down and survived three match darts.

The teenager then continued his good form with a semi-final win against Michael van Gerwen.
Littler destroyed his World Championship final opponent 6-2 in a match that never looked in doubt.
Humphries, on the other hand, pulled off two comebacks as he beat both Chris Dobey and Gerwyn Price despite being 4-2 down in both games.
