Coca-Cola launches new drinks and one is inspired by nostalgic childhood sweets

FANTA has launched a new range of drinks much to the delight of shoppers.

Coca-cola, the parent company behind the famous fizzy drink, has released three new drinks for fans to try.

Three new Fanta zero sugar flavors: Apple, Raspberry, and Tutti Frutti.
Apple Zero Sugar, Raspberry Zero Sugar, and limited-edition Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar will join the Fanta line up

The flavours include Fanta Apple Zero Sugar, Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar, and the limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar.

But shoppers have given mixed reviews about the product, with one describing the apple variety of the drink as “gross”.

However, another person was excited about the launch, stating they “must get these”.

While a third commented “I like a bit of Tutti Fruitti”.

The Apple and Raspberry drinks are available in UK supermarkets for purchase now.

A two-litre bottle of the berry drink is listed on the Asda website for £2, but currently appears to be out of stock.

Meanwhile, Ocado is stocking a 2litre bottle of the Apple pop for £2.60.

If your heading out to the shops with the intention of buying one of the drinks it may be worth ringing up ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

But those keen to try the Tutti Frutti drink inspired by banana, peach, and pineapple will have to wait until mid-March to get their hands on it.

Hanna Lauri, Fanta brand manager at The Coca-Cola Company, shared her excitement about the new additions: “We’re so excited to bring even more variety to people with three new vibrant additions to the Fanta family.

“Fanta Apple Zero Sugar, Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar, and limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar embody our commitment to creating fun, fruity twists that cater to people’s evolving tastes.”

It’s not the first time fans have been treated to a new flavour of the soda.

Last February, the Coca-Cola-owned brand unveiled a new, purple-coloured fizzy drink as part of its #WhatTheFanta.

The unusual flavour was inspired by and tasted like raspberry and cheesecake.

Back in 2019, Fanta also launched a grape flavoured drink, but this is now hard to come by in UK stores.

One of the biggest changes the brand made was changing the recipe of Fanta Orange Zero Sugar.

Back in May, the brand revealed a “new and improved” Fanta Zero Sugar soft drink.

It now contains several different sweeteners which are likely to explain the changing flavour.

However, fans of the drink were left fuming over the change.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) one Fanta Fan said: “No idea what Coca Cola are up to but the new Fanta Zero is horrible.

“Phenomenal downgrade on the old one.”

Another said: “Coca-Cola, what have you done to the zero sugar Fanta in the UK?

“I used to love it, the new so called ‘improved’ version tastes like chemicals!”

The new recipe drink is sweetened with cyclamates, acesulfame-K, sucralose, steviol glycosides and neohesperidine DC and no longer contains aspartame.
