The Apple TV app is now available on Android, opening up the firm’s growing list of award-winning movies and hit series to even more people.

Apple TV+ is home to hugely popular shows including Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and Severance.

Eerie science fiction psychological thriller Severance is currently in the midst of its second season, starring Adam Scott, Zach Cherry and Britt Lower.

Apple Original films include The Instigators, The Family Plan, Killers of the Flower Moon, CODA, and more.

The Apple TV app also provides access to MLS Season Pass, with the Major League Soccer’s 2025 season starting soon.

Apple says the app will work for all devices running Android 10 or later.

And people can subscribe to Apple TV+ directly within the app using Google’s payment system.

All the same features available on the iOS app for iPhone will be there.

This includes Continue Watching to pick up where a user left off across all their devices, and Watchlist to keep track of everything they want to watch in the future.

These will sync seamlessly with your existing devices accessing the same account, whether they’re iOS or Android.

Apple is kicking off the launch with a seven day free trial for Android users to get a flavour of the content on offer.

It’s not the first time Apple has expanded apps beyond iOS.

Apple Music is already open to Android users too.
