THE average Brit spends just two hours and 24 minutes a month surrounded by nature.
A study of 2,000 adults found for 36 per cent, time spent outside on a weekday is often limited to the commute or during lunch breaks.

And even then, the availability of nature during the journey to and from work or during breaks is severely lacking for 23 per cent.
As a result, 63 per cent want to spend more time in nature in 2025 than they have done previously, with 21 per cent admitting they feel disconnected from the natural world.
The research was commissioned by Clipper Tea, which is reconnecting Brits to nature by teaming up with popular DJ, SUAT to create a new music track called ‘Sounds of Nature’.
Listening to the track generates a donation to the Sounds Right Conservation Fund, which raises money for vital conservation projects led by EarthPercent.
Hannah Southwick, spokesperson for Clipper Tea, said: “The benefits and wonders of the great outdoors are truly endless.
“But our new research reveals that many people are struggling to connect with nature as much as they would like – and not reaping its benefits.
“We aspire to bring people closer to nature with every cup of tea and we’re now taking it one step further to reconnect people with the sounds of nature too.
“The track, created with SUAT, blends the sounds of the wild with his signature beats.”
The study also found 63 per cent believe spending time in nature helps reduce stress levels.
While 61 per cent believe it lifts their spirits, and 58 per cent experience improved mental health from getting outside.

Barriers to connecting with nature include lack of time (43 per cent) and lack of natural surroundings nearby (14 per cent).
More than a quarter (27 per cent) also revealed they spent less time outside surrounded by nature in 2024 than they wanted to, according to the OnePoll.com figures.
SUAT, whose real name is Zach Sabri, said: “Nature is the perfect stage for what I do – it’s positive, inspiring and the feel-good vibes are endless.
“I feel very lucky to have been able to create the Sounds of Nature track with Clipper Tea, with the aim of reconnecting the UK to the wild and wonderful sounds nature provides.
“Stick the kettle on, stick the song on YouTube and taste how good nature feels. Ahoy.”
