THIS is the hilarious moment Prince Harry is handed a very cheeky gift, to a crowd of sniggering kids, at the Invictus Games.

The amused royal then quips back, “so inappropriate, I love it”.

Harry, 40, was presented with the pair of budgie-smugglers by Team Australia at this year’s Invictus Games in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday.

It is a long-running tradition between the Aussies and Duke of Sussex – having first started at the Sydney games in 2018.

Meghan posted a video of the cheeky moment to her Instagram account.

Harry and Meghan are captured surrounding by excited kids – as part of an event for the family and friends of those competing at the games.

A parent hands Harry the risqué trunks, as the kids burst into hysterical laughter and Meghan groans “Oh no!”

One child shouts: “Put them on your head!”

Kid-loving Harry quips back: “On my head? Who does that!”

He then does a comic shimmy as he holds the budgie smugglers to his crotch.

The family event was designed to spread the themes of tolerance and inclusivity.

Meghan, 43, read from the book All Are Neighbors to around 40 children – and helped them make signs for the athletes.

Afterwards, she said: “We are here for you. We will be cheering you and your parents on this week.”

The tournament, which was conceived by the prince in 2014 for wounded, injured and sick military service personnel, opened earlier this month.

Meghan and Harry appeared closer than ever – sharing an intimate kiss on stage as Harry gave his opening speeech.

The pair shared another kiss in the stands at the opening ceremony – and Meghan was seen resting her head on her husband’s shoulder.

The mum-of-two was also spotted waving blue pom-poms as a show of support for Team USA.

She donned a simple black dress, concealed beneath a sophisticated cream jacket.

Meghan grinned from ear-to-ear as she sat beside her hubby, taking pictures on her phone.

Harry appeared equally joyful as he stepped out in a suave suit with navy tie.

A parade of nations with Germany, who hosted the 2023 event in Dusseldorf, leading in front kicked off the evening.

Vancouver’s team were welcomed into BC Place with an almighty cheer from the 54,500 seater arena.

The rest of the ceremony featured a host of performances – from the likes of Chris Martin, Nelly Furtado and Katy Perry.

Martin delivered a moving rendition of the Invictus Games anthem, which he created in 2014 using the lyrics of the Invictus poem by William Ernest Henley, while accompanied by the Universal Gospel Choir.

He then wowed fans with Coldplay‘s hit Higher Power and thanked Harry in between songs.

The singer said: “I’d like to say thanks, of course, to Prince Harry.

“When he called me he said, ‘I’ve called every other musician in the world, they all said they’re not available so I have to call you’.

“And I said ‘Your royal holiness, I’m honoured.’

“But thank you Harry for being such an inspiring leader and kind and sweet man, and I hope you have the most wonderful games of all. And it’s a pleasure to be here.”

In a clip of the opening night shared on X by an attendee, Meghan gushed about how hubby Harry had juggled organising the games while fathering Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Harry and Meghan’s touchy-feely display at the opening came just hours after Donald Trump took a savage swipe at Meghan.

Ruling out deporting Harry, Trump said: “I don’t want to do that.

“I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

Meghan has been posting heartwarming behind the scenes footage throughout the event.

The seventh edition of the games, established by Harry in 2014, has brought together more than 500 competitors from 23 nations.

This includes 62 British competitors – all veterans and serving personnel who sustained life-changing injuries and illnesses while serving in the UK Armed Forces.

The games have previously been held in London in 2014, in Orlando in 2016, Toronto in 2017, Sydney in 2018, The Hague in 2022 and Dusseldorf in 2023.

Harry and Meghan famously appeared in public together for the first time at the Toronto Invictus Games in 2017, pictured hand-in-hand at a wheelchair tennis event.

This year’s games is the first to include winter sports.

The games aim to “inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who have served their country”, the Royal British Legion has said.
