NEW crime drama with a huge star scores an embarrassing and shocking zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes after it’s slammed by viewers.
NBC‘s new police procedural The Hunting Party which stars Melissa Roxburgh made its debut last month after the NFC Divisional Playoff Game.

Bex Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh), is a semi retired FBI profiler works as a casino security executive until she is brought back to the bureau to help find some prisoners who have escaped from a prison.
However, Bex learns that the prison is a secret federal facility full of serial killers that were previously believed to be executed.
She is joined by CIA agent Jacob Hassani (Patrick Sanbongui), Army Intelligence officer Jennifer Morales (Sara Garcia), and prison guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie) to get them back into custody.
Thrust into a world of intrigue and conspiracy, Bex must grapple with not only her own complex past, but also the enduring mystery of what was happening at this prison — and who caused the explosion in the first place.
It sounds exciting enough but viewers weren’t impressed and rushed to the review site Rotten Tomatoes to make their opinions heard.
One said: “The true crime aficionado viewers will know more about serial killers than the writers of this show.”
Another added: “This show has a lot of potential, but it begins with a dystopian premise that they spend far too much time trying to justify, and whoever is in charge of the soundtrack and sound direction needs to have their head examined.
“That noise (can’t really qualify it as music) is giving me heart palpitations and a migraine and is so loud I can’t hear the damn dialogue.
“Barely 30 minutes in and I’m going to need to go lie down in a dark room.”
A third said: “Filled with unknown, unaccomplished, wooden actors, this is as lame as it gets.

On another review site another viewer added: “Basic, abc storytelling complete with back story flashbacks to get everyone up to speed quickly.

But not everyone agreed as a few seemed to like the episode.
“Now yea we’ve seen this story line before buy I’m all for a good story line. They are looking for escaped serial killers.
“The worst kind so there is alot of action and seems to be a pretty good backstory for the lead detective.
“It doesn’t drag on the first episode and you knee deep in the drama and action.
“The story keeps your attention and while we’ve seen this storyline a few different ways this is honestly pretty interesting.” said one fan.
While another added: “I would agree with the other raters on this one. We’ve all seen this formula before.
“A central character that some Government agency decides that they can’t do without (and won’t take “no” for an answer), and recruits her to carry out a “failure is not an option” mission.
“It’s nicely set up for a “mission of the week” schedule which, to be honest, I really don’t mind.
“I think the lead actress does a serviceable job, and the first episode had a nice twist in the end.
“All in all, I’m going to continue watching this show.”
