A DIY enthusiast has revealed that she gave her dull kitchen a mega makeover, all whilst on a budget.
So if the cost of living crisis has made your purse feel tighter than ever before, but you’re desperate to add style to your home, then don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place.

A savvy woman from the UK used bargain buys from Shein to give her kitchen a fresh new feel – and it cost her less than £100.
Thrilled with her kitchen transformation, Jay Ward took to social media to share it with others, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Jay uploaded before and after snaps of her kitchen and joked: “If you’re thinking of doing it … DON’T … jokes aside – you need patience for vinyl wrapping.”
She then explained: “Think my husband might want to divorce me as it’s tested both our patience.”
Jay confirmed that to make her kitchen fresh and modern, she nabbed sage green vinyl wrap and ribbeck oak vinyl wrap, both from OnBuy.
She used this self-adhesive vinyl wrap to give her cupboards and worktops a super chic feel, without having to break the bank.
Not only this, but she also bought tile stickers for just £8.20 from Shein, to give her backsplash a trendy new look.
And if that wasn’t enough, she also nabbed black door handles from Shein, to further add style to her kitchen.
Overjoyed with her affordable DIY project, Jay beamed: “All done for under £100.”
We think Jay’s kitchen looks gorgeous, and it’s clear that many others do too – as her Facebook post has quickly racked up over 200 likes and 133 comments in less than 24 hours.

At the same time, one user asked: “Were the tile stickers easy enough to do?”
To this, Jay confirmed: “We took our plug sockets off so they were better to cut with but fairly.
“I’m glad I definitely looked at the instructions on these as they wouldn’t of matched otherwise.”
