SOME people are blessed with childhood best friends who would do anything for their family.
However, one woman was shocked to learn about the true nature of her bestie’s intentions.
In her post, the unnamed Reddit user recalled the “unreal” and “terrible” events surrounding her best friend’s betrayal.
She explained that she and her former friend had known each other for over 20 years.
“We grew up together, her folks were neglectful so she spent more time at my house when we were kids and teens,” the poster said.
“She considered my parents her parents as such, she was super close with my mum.
“Both my mum and dad treated her like their own, the entirety of our childhood.”
When both the women were in their late 20s, the Reddit user explained how one of her parents needed a medical procedure.
The original poster was unable to help at the time, so her best friend stepped up.
“She said she would still travel across the country to help out like she promised,” she explained.
As her friend continued to care for her parents, the Redditor recalled how “like a wonderful white knight, my uncle stepped in to help out.”
She described her uncle as “awesome, super sweet, hilarious, endearing, loving, and all around a great dude.”

He was “divorced and single for a really long time” when he and her friend “joined forces” to care for the recovering patient.
She explained that the pair were both “huge foodies and bonded over recipes.”
“I knew they were talking and since she grew up in my house, I thought absolutely nothing of [it],” she said.
She recalled how one day she was supposed to meet up with her friend but was “ghosted.”
After she wasn’t able to get a hold of her uncle, the Redditor finally reached out to her friend.
She jokingly asked her childhood bestie if she was was “banging” her uncle and was shocked when she was met with silence.
“That spoke volumes,” the woman wrote.
She said she was “taken aback” by the revelation and felt “embarrassed and baffled.”
However, she acknowledged that they are both consenting adults and said it wasn’t her business.
“I trusted them both to make whatever decisions they deemed fit,” she said.
The pair went on to date in secret for nine months before the poster’s uncle ended it.
Her friend was “devastated” and was “hard to get a hold of after the break up.”
After nearly a month without hearing from her, the Redditor received a phone call from her friend.
“She told me she’d f**ked a lot of stuff up and felt terrible about it,” she recalled.
Eventually, her bestie admitted that she had slept with the poster’s brother, who is seven years older than them.
The woman said she “legit almost ran my car off the road” after hearing the news and “absolutely couldn’t believe my ears.”
She was even more shocked to learn that this encounter had actually taken place during the relationship and not after it ended.
“In that time, she went to my folks’ house, while my brother just happened to be visiting,” she said.
The pair ended up having sex on the family’s sofa before the poster’s mum walked in on them.
She revealed that they “never spoke again” after that shocking phone call.
The woman called her friend’s behaviour “disrespectful” and “exhausting,” concluding that she has “zero time, energy, or sympathy” for her.
