Ted Lasso star, Nick Mohammed, has dropped the biggest hint yet that filming for a new series could be on the horizon, amid ongoing speculation about the future of the beloved Apple TV show.
Nick, who plays AFC Richmond assistant coach Nate Shelley, has taken to social media to tease an long-awaited update on the football comedy-drama.
The actor, 44, told fans that his Show Pony comedy tour is being rescheduled “for some filming I have not been able to shift for love of money.”
He added: “I cannot say what that filming is. But it will be announced shortly.
“In the meantime, I would really appreciate if people just didn’t speculate as to what they think it might be. The last thing I want is for people to be going mad.”
The star made the video while holding up the “BELIEVE” sign that appears in the show.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting news after the third season concluded, which aired back in 2023 and had been expected to be the final season.
While nothing has been officially confirmed, this latest tease has reignited hope that we haven’t seen the last of AFC Richmond just yet.
Season three faced accusations from some fans of losing its way, despite earning positive reviews from critics.
Viewers criticised the show for juggling too many separate storylines and expressed disappointment over what they perceived as a rushed redemption arc for Mohammed’s Nate.
Despite the backlash, Ted Lasso season three still managed to secure 21 nominations at the 2023 Emmy Awards, though it only took home two wins—for Outstanding Guest Actor and Outstanding Original Music.

Fans took to social media, and some were thrilled by the news, but others weren’t so sure a fourth season was needed.
“Season 3 was unwatchable,” one fan said on X.
“I hope it’s better than season 3. It went downhill significantly after the second season,” wrote another.
“Man, if they bring back ‘Ted Lasso’ without mixing in some real comedy grit, they just milking the feel-good cow dry!” wrote a third.

Apple never confirmed that Season three would be the end of the series despite its finale seeming like an unofficial sendoff.
The finale culminated in Coach Lasso’s return to Kansas, where he was reunited with his son Henry.
His long-awaited trip home came after a miraculous end to AFC Richmond’s season, which saw the Greyhounds beat West Ham United but come in second to Manchester City.
