Thanks to a cheap superfood, Kate is ageing backwards

At the age of 43, Kate appears to have barely aged and all down to a few skincare techniques and one of her favourite anti-ageing snacks.

The mum-of-three, who takes pride in opting for healthy choices, has always been candid about her love for nutritious, healthy foods that do all the good to her body.

And experts have proven that it is a fact that foods can help reduce the signs of ageing by providing protein, healthy fats, antioxidants, and other nutrients.

One superfood of which Kate is a fan is goji berries.

Back in 2018, the princess visited children at Great Ormond Street Hospital and revealed her love for certain superfoods.

Kate said she loved healthy snacks such as raw fruit and vegetables like goji berries, as well as saying: “I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well.”

A 100g pack of the tasty goji berries can be bought from Asda for £1.60, making it around 56p a portion.

They are known for their sweet and sour taste, and can be a great alternative for those who want to give up on sweets, but still want a chewy snack.

They are packed with antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and amino acids – and are beneficial for anti-ageing.

Experts have revealed that they are especially good for vision and eyes, by filtering out harmful blue lights.

Scientists also found that regular consumption for middle-aged women could decrease the risk of age-related macular degeneration and improve sleep, according to a study conducted in 2021.

These berries are also rich in iron, a vital mineral for red blood cell production.

But experts do warn against too much consumption, as they are dried fruit and so it’s crucial for those with blood sugars issues to be aware of their intake.

Not only are the berries Kate’s anti-ageing trick but the olives are too.

Experts believe that olives are considered anti-aging because they contain antioxidants and fatty acids.

These nutrients can protect skin from UV radiation and help slow down the ageing process.

And when it comes to her luscious locks, there is never a hair out of place.

According to a hairstylist Kate has ditched her signature Chelsea blow-dry in favour of a chic “Hollywood wave”.

Tim Pike, who has done Lily James’ hair, told Hello!: “Essentially, Kate has upgraded the style known as the ‘Hollywood wave’.

“To achieve this, you would use either a smoothing cream or a nice blow dry spray.

“Blow dry your hair smooth, then using a large barrel wand, twist the hair round the tool, taking slightly thicker sections as you work. Once this is done, gently brush it out.

“The way that Kate’s done it slightly different; she’s parted her hair at the back and then pushed it forward, so it looks like you’ve got that real, I call it a ‘royal wave’, but it just looks like you’ve got that real deep wave in the hair. It’s beautiful.”
