WITH the year off to a freezing cold start, many of us will have been looking for cost-effective ways to keep warm without breaking the bank.
Thankfully, German retailer Aldi have announced a nifty gadget that will keep you toasty – without needing to crank the heating up.

Their popular Heated Blanket is set to return to stores tomorrow (Thursday 16th January), after selling out quickly last year.
Even better – the blanket can reduce your energy bills and costs just 4p an hour to run.
And this isn’t the only item Aldi have stocked to keep our homes cosy this winter – from cold-banishing tools to radiator boosters.
The heated blanket will be available instore-only for just £29.99.
It comes in three chic colours: Creme, Dark Grey or Light Grey.
So you can pick the best design to match your home decor.
Aldi says: “Keep warm this winter with this Heated Blanket.”
There are nine heat settings to choose from, allowing you to adjust the temperature to your preference.
Conveniently, you can even wash the blanket after use – simply detach the cable and it’s safe to do so.
The blanket has a lovely soft touch, made of micro fleece to keep you snug during those cold evenings.
And it’s big enough to curl up under, measuring 130 x 180 cm.

Or you can simply wrap yourself up in it and use it as a warm throw.
It’s coming back to stores at the perfect time.
Shoppers who are keen to purchase the blanket will need to move fast, though.
As it’s part of Aldi’s SpecialBuys, which contain limited stock.
And once they’re gone, they’re gone.
