COLSON Smith’s future on his podcast series with his fellow Coronation Street stars is sealed after his axe.
The 26-year-old left fans devastated earlier this week when he was ousted from his role as policeman Craig Tinker after 14 years.

While Lucy Fallon admitted she ‘couldn’t stop crying’ over the axe, fans’ attention turned to his podcast with his Coronation Street co-stars.
Colson has starred on the weekly series, called On the Sofa, alongside Jack P. Shepherd and Ben Price since its launch in 2019.
Sources have told The Sun his axe from the soap won’t affect the series and the trio plan to keep recording episodes.
They said: “Colson is gutted about leaving Coronation Street but looking forward to the future and what opportunities arise.
“He’s best pals with Jack and Ben, especially since they’ve lived together before and they all love making the show, it’s been a big hit with fans.
“They’ve no plans at the moment to bring it to an end, though after Colson finishes on Corrie there may be less chat around the show for his sake.”
On the Sofa – which has 392 episodes to date – was previously based on films before the lads broadened the format.
They’ve regularly dished backstage gossip from Corrie and recently revealed how Jack, 36, turned down the offer of moving into his former co-star Helen Worth’s esteemed dressing room after she left.
Colson joined the Weatherfield cobbles as a child actor, playing the son of Beth Tinker, previously portrayed by Lisa George until her departure last year.
