MCDONALD’S has shaken up its menu with four never-before-seen items now available at restaurants.
The home of the Big Mac has ditched its Christmas menu items and is now selling a BBQ Ranch Stack burger, grilled or crispy katsu wraps and a Milkyway McFlurry.

I got to try the four new items after they hit menus for the first time yesterday.
As always, the price you pay for them may vary depending on where you live.
Milkyway McFlurry
Milkyway is my fave childhood chocolate bar – and I wasn’t disappointed with the McFlurry version.
The dessert, which costs £2.19, combines soft ice cream swirled with milk chocolate stars and malt-flavoured pieces topped with a chocolate sauce.
The vanilla ice cream combined nicely with the milk chocolate stars and the malt-flavoured pieces made it super rich and caramelly.
I was concerned the chocolate sauce would overpower the other ingredients but there was just the right amount.

McDonald’s launched katsu nuggets in 2020, so this isn’t the first time the Asian flavour has featured on menus.
But katsu wraps have never been seen in restaurants, with a crispy or grilled version up for grabs.
Both come coated in a katsu sauce with crispy onions, fresh cucumber and lettuce, served in a warm toasted tortilla.
A single item costs £3.49 or £5.29 as part of a meal, or £1.99 as a single item on Wednesdays.

It combined nicely with the aromatic sauce, fresh lettuce and cucumber.
The chicken was tender, herby and crispy too, meaning each bite had a nice balance of softness and crunch to it.
Next up was the grilled version which I wasn’t expecting to be as nice because, well, crispy chicken is always just tastier.
There was nothing to persuade me otherwise either.
But for some reason it tasted even worse than I expected, with the grilled chicken too bland.
The texture was far too squidgy as well, with barely a sign of crunch, beyond the cucumber, in sight.
BBQ ranch stack burger
The BBQ ranch stack burger is the fourth a final new addition to menus and available for £5.19 as a single item or £6.99 in a meal.
It combines two 100% beef patties with cheese made with Emmental, lettuce, bacon, crispy onions, creamy ranch and sweet BBQ sauce, in a glazed sesame seed bun.
Simply put, the burger is packed full of ingredients which, generally, hit the spot for me.
But the BBQ sauce was too sweet and overbearing – so much so that it overpowered all the other flavours.
Although, the super smokey bacon and crispy onions added a nice crunch.
What else is on the McDonald’s menu?
The BBQ Smokehouse McCrispy is also back, after last being on menus in September.
The burger is made up of chicken breast fillet in a crispy, crunchy coating with a smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion, lettuce, all in a sourdough style sesame topped bun.
Meanwhile, the mozzarella dippers have returned after last being available in October.
The dippers consist of mozzarella and emmental cheese with a smoky caramelised onion-flavoured breadcrumb coating.

How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?
If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.
The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.
Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.
After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
